Abhi and Graham met in high school and later connected with Zyad through a mutual friend in college. Their journey as founders began with a company that helped Amazon sellers analyze sales using GPT-3. After learning from that experience, they each went into the industry. Abhi worked on meeting infrastructure at Zoom, Graham built products at multiple startups, and Zyad developed workflow products at Okta.
A few years later, they teamed up again to build a “Shopify for restaurants” startup, scaling it to hundreds of locations and processing over $1 million in sales. While running the business, they spent countless hours on manual browser tasks—filling out forms, managing dashboards, and handling workflows that lacked simple APIs or were too expensive to integrate. To automate these processes, they wrote Playwright and Selenium scripts, but maintaining them was a constant challenge as websites changed and scripts broke.
That’s when they saw the bigger opportunity. Businesses across industries needed to automate workflows, but existing solutions required hard-coded scripts, unreliable workarounds, or costly APIs. They built Copycat to solve this—where companies can simply describe a repetitive browser task or SOP, and an AI agent automates it instantly. No coding, no maintenance, just seamless automation with full visibility.
